The second joint symposium of the ATTACK consortium was held October 22-25, 20223 in the Landhotel Altes Wasserwerk in Freinsheim, Germany. After the registration of participants and a conference dinner on Sunday evening, the meeting proceeded with several talk- and poster sessions on current findings within the 4 work packages, as well as several smaller round table dicussions on special topics (e.g. a programmer session) until Wednesday. We were particularly pleased about the participation and presentations of four guest scientists, namely Prof. Wilfried Weber and Dr. Oskar Staufer (INM-Leibniz Institute for New Materials, Saarbrücken, Germany), Dr. Jiri Eitler (Experimentelle Transfusionsmedizin, Technische Universität Dresden, Germany) and Dr. Stefan Balint (Senior Applications Development Scientist at ONI, Oxford, UK). We would like to sincerely thank all participants for exciting presentations and extensive discussions. All together resulted in a very successful event.
